Reminder Regarding Independent Investigation

Dear Athena Project Community,

Although we know firsthand how challenging it can be to re-live uncomfortable or traumatic experiences, if you have not yet reached out to the Debevoise team, we’d like to take this opportunity to encourage you to speak with them. The Debevoise team is still interviewing community members and is available to hear from anyone with relevant information.

All of the women of the Athena Project have spoken to the investigators at this point, and we are pleased to report they have been empathetic, professional, and thoughtful in their handling of this painful material.  We have also heard from other alumni who have met with the investigators; they report similarly positive experiences.

Finally, the RAINN therapy fund established by Sonoma Academy is available to victims of faculty sexual misconduct, related violence, and indirect harm related to sexual misconduct by a Sonoma Academy employee. We encourage you to make use of the RAINN therapy fund.
